In the past I’ve tried Viagra. I wouldn’t describe it as the best feeling…or a feeling of heightened sexuality…but I would say that getting an erection was easy and quite strong. I cannot remember the strength…but the Viagra I used was from my doctor as a sample after it first came to market. I’ve gone years now where I did not use the Viagra. I didn’t like the facial flush and the headache. Still…I would have to say it worked very well. The slightest arousal of my mind caused me to have an erection. I would say my problems are mostly due to anxiety. NOW…fast forward to the present. I went to my doctor and asked him about the different pills. He only had samples of Levitra on hand. So..he gave me a few packs of 10mg. Levitra pills.
Tonight…I decided to give it a trial run. Just about 2 hours ago I took half of a 10mg pill. I waited for 30 minutes and tried to think really arousing thoughts. I had no erection coming about…so at the 40 minute mark I decided to take the other half of the pill. So…it was staggered…but I finally had the full pill on board within 40 minutes. At the one hour point from taking the first 5mg…I decided I should be able to have a rock cutter of an erection. But I did not. So…I got up and went to the computer. I tried to get some images on the screen that would be arousing. I accidentally got more than I bargained for and ran into some really hard core images. Well…I started to spring to life…but not even as good as usual. Keep in mind…there was no performance anxiety going on here! I continued to fantasize and was able to satisfy myself. But…I must say…I don’t know how much the pill helped! I can say that I had half of a pizza earlier this evening…with plenty of cheese. Don’t know if that could of had an effect on the results. Any flushing I feel is minor compared to my memory of the Viagra. I sit here now…2 hours later and don’t have a headache. Interestingly enough, I almost felt like my penis was a little on the numb side after taking this pill. It’s hard to describe. So..now I’m afraid to depend on the Levitra when the performance really counts!
Good: minor amount of flushing, no headache, vision normal. Felt a little assistance with erection..but not much.
Bad: not sure it’s going to work for me when I really want to depend on it! Didn’t feel the enhanced 20 year old man…diamond cutter feelings that I expected. (read somewhere in these forums where an 80 year old man said Levitra gave him the best he’d ever had)
So…should I just take it for granted that Viagra worked better for me and pack up the Levitra? Should I take the 10mg all at once and not have any food first? Should I up the dose to 20mg?
I know a sexual encounter is coming soon…and I don’t want to worry! I want to rock her world!

Viagra is my choice.
Whatever you decide to take, take the doctor’s recommended dose all at once.
I find that food interferes with the drug’s absorption.
Don’t know your current situation, but I’d check with the doc before upping your dose.
The Levitra I took was from sample packs given to me by my doctor. They are 10mg. He told me I could try cutting them in half. I’m sure my next move would be to see what they do for me at 10mg. I like the idea of being able to take the Levitra after having a few drinks without worrying. Still, if it doesn’t work any better than what I experienced the other day…then it’s a bust and I will need to move on to Cialis or back to Viagra. I took the whole 10mg sample of Levitra…but with one half first…and then the other half about 40 minutes later. The results were not so great. Strange…because I expected to be impressed!
Years ago I tried Viagra….I remember sitting in a hot tub…usually and erection killer for me…and found myself getting aroused. That’s when I knew Viagra worked! Still, the facial flushing, congested sinuses and headache were enough to wean me off of the Viagra. I really only needed Viagra to help with performance anxiety. Interestingly enough…the anxiety is back and in rare form! So…I will give Levitra another try. Has anyone else had similar results with Levitra? Is it possible that it just doesn’t work as well for me? This would be surprising since I’ve read that it targets and inhibits the erection killing substance within your body more specifically than with Viagra.
Really would like to hear from people who have tried both! Thanks!
It is supposed to be taken an hour before any sexual ativity unlike Viagra where you can take as soon as 15 mintues before. Everyone is different when it comes to these drugs. I personally do not like Viagra. It makes my heart race, my face is flushed and it just increases my performance anxiety, although it does give me the best “rock” hard erection of any of the drugs. I take Levitra. It works without giving me the increased heart rate and flushed face feeling. Erections are still hard just not the diamond cutters like Viagra. This is OK though becuase I am more relaxed on Viagra. I know it will work. To me it also works differently than Viagra. With Viagra all I had to do was think about sex or see wife on sexy nighty and pow there it was rock hard erection. With Levtitra it works a little slower and I need some touching fore play to get it going. Hope this helps.
I use the 20 mg. Levitra and have no problems with erection intensity. However, I’ve never used Viagra.
The 10 mg Levitra is the equivalent of 50 mg of Viagra; 20 mg is the strongest dose of Levitra. Take the whole pill and as instructed in previous posts, empty stomach and wait an hour. Like the Cialis commercial says, ” Do not drink alcohol in excess will taking the product.”
I have not tried Viagra yet but the Levitra works well for me with no side effects.
Thanks for the replies! I will give the Levitra another try. I may just have to go back to the Viagra and give it another try? Perhaps the rock cutter is what I’m looking for and missing. I’m thinking a half dose of Viagra may be better for me than the Levitra? The big question is…do you want less intensity and less facial flush…or more intensity and more facial flush? I need to be fair to Levitra and give it another go at a full 10mg dose. I will try on an empty stomach and see what happens at the one hour mark. If I feel the numbness…lack of intensity…then less facial flushing will be of little consolation. Hmm…now I wonder about Cialis…if it is more like Levitra…or more like Viagra? In the next day or so I will try the Levitra and report back. Thanks again!

I aslo tried Cialis . I really like this one too. It feels the same as Levitra to me. It is good to take over the weekend. This way you do not have to plan sex. You can be spontanius all weekend and not have to worry about ED problems.

Thank you for the reply SufferingEd. I must say…diamond cutter is a rather reasuring feeling. Especially since I no longer have a steady and will be trying to use condoms. They always kill it for me. I’m not sure taking one of these pills will help…but rock cutter makes me think it would be more possible. I would be tempted to try 20mg of Levitra to see if it did for me similar to what Viagra did…but the side effects would probably be similar…or maybe worse according to your account. One thing I like about trying Cialis is that people are reporting that they felt more natural on it. With Levitra…and my staggered dose of 5mg and then 5mg more 40 minutes later was not so pleasant. I didn’t have facial flushing…and only the slightest of headache…but felt kind of like my penis was on the numb side…an not necessarily as good as with a normal dose of good porn. My lady and I will certainly do something soon. I feel the pressure coming…and not in a good way. In fact…I’m mortified. I actually consider myself a passionate man…no one loves the ladies more than I do! My mind is an overactive playground! But…I just don’t have the follow through. Viagra helped in the past…but there’s this big red sign on your face! There never is an easy way is there? So…today I will ask my doctor if having a sample of Cialis and Viagra will do. Later tonight I will try Levitra again…the full 10mg at one time. Just to make sure I give it the opportunity. I do like that I can take it after drinking alcohol…since the alcohol can drop the inhibitions a little…and you still have assistance. Anyway, I appreciate the response. Good luck with the full dose of Levitra. If it does not work as well as the Viagra, then I agree with you that you should try a split dose.
Levitra has worked the better for me since I started taking Lovastatin for my high cholestrol. Go figure. Certain combo of meds work well for some and not others.
I know what you mean about feeling pressured. I have been married 9yrs and just recently developed ED. My wife is very understanding and has no problems with me taking something. Evan as understanding as she is, and knowing if I take Levitra it will work (always has so far) I still get panic attacks all day before sex. I get so worked up just worring about it even knowing it will be OK once I take Levitra and relax. I guess this is something that will go way in due time once I get use taking something. I wich they had something to calm the nerves. This is also why a I have a few drinks with it. Calms my nerves> can’t drink at work druing the day. Oh well. Good luck Andiron.
Okay guys…I’m in business! I just picked up samples of Viagra and Cialis from my doctor. So…I will try the full 10mg of Levitra again…then I will try Cialis…not sure what the dosage is yet…and then I will go back and give Viagra a try. I think that Viagra was so strong for me in the past…and I think it was 50mg…that I may split it in two and try 25 mg. It’s a smorgashborg of ED pills! LOL So…I will see what suits me best. If the Levitra is no worse on symptoms and works better with the full 10mg…I will be in business. Same can be said for Cialis…but might have the added bonus of feeling more natural and lasting longer…as reported by others. If not…there’s always Viagra…full of side effects but quite effective. I will gunea pig myself for the next week or so to see what works best for me…and perhaps it will help others when I come back to report the results. Thank you for the posts!
My hubby got 20mg of levitra from our family doctor.It worked great for him with no side effects.Took about 1/2 hr to 45 mins for it to work on him.It was like when we first met 16 yrs ago.Take care.

Well good luck to you andiron. My wife had a bad week and has decided she no longer wants me take Viagra or Levitra. Says she does not feel it is “real” and is tired of planning sex. I do tend to still up get uptight before and tend to try to rush things instead of realxing, so that could be part of the problem. Need to step back for now and just relax. I am starting to let anxeity rule me and we can not have that. But the stuff does work so good luck.

Is there anyway to sneak a dose of Cialis? I thought it was supposed take the planning part out of the equation.
I actually thought about that. First I need to get my anxiety in check. When I first started having ED about 6 mos ago, I would take Viarga or Levitra. I would get a little nervous before hand but as soon as I got an erection things were smooth sailing. Now I have anxiety attacks so bad I tend to rush the sex along and can’t seem to relax. I think this why wife does not like it. My hormones are still out of balance, so I need to work on those, get the anxiety in check, then maybe revisit the idea with her. I like the Cials Idea because you could basically take two a week and still have spontanious sex.
Good luck getting your Low T and other issues in check. My ED issues started 8 months ago. The ED was directly related to high blood pressure. I never thought in my lifetime that I would need medication for this. Since I got the HBP under control, I don’t have to take performance enhancing drugs every time. I take a beta blocker (Toprol XL) for HBP that is notorious for causing ED but I have not had problems. Fortunately, I am more of a recreational user now but I remember having lack of confidence for a few months.
I will try to get a sample of both Cialis and Viagra when I go back to renew my 1 year limit of filling my prescription.
take paxil and cialis…it will cure premature ejac and performance anxiety..go to your doc and get scrips..your wife doesn’t even need to know about it…once you’ve been on paxil for a while, you’ll be able to taper off and will be good to go on your own..you will have built up your confidence and perform anxiety and premature ejac will never cross your mind again…it’s like riding a bike

I will keep it in mind. It is deffinately a possiblity. My sex drive is low rigt now because of low testosterone and high prolactin, but I go to a specialst in May. Once I get those back to where they should be, then your right. This might be the way to go t get me back in the game. Last year I would “wack off” as you put every now then when wife was out of town or not in the mood. Have not had any desire to do that since since sex drive is low. Thansk for the input.

In a strange way I am not so sure about it…but I think because it is subtle and seems to work even better the second day…it is worth it. And…who wouldn’t like to have less side effects? I guess it’s different for different people…so maybe you will like it more…or less? Good luck!
Okay…so I tried Cialis. Turns out that it still was very low on side effects for me. This time the response seemed more subtle. Strange since I took the whole 20mg at once. Still, it does work. The funny thing about Cialis is that it really does require stimulation and sexual excitement. There seems to be no stirring as with the Viagra. Even Levitra convinced me that I was ready to go because there was the start of a flush like feeling. So…next I will try half of a Viagra to see what kind of kick in the pants that gives to me! Then I will decide. I think at this point I will probably be a Cialis user. I would say that I have had 3 good days where I felt more predisposed to having wood! My next post will be a new thread about prolactin and lowering the refractory period. That seems to be the next big thing to tackle. Will be back after the Viagra!

HI, just wanted to chime in and let you know that cialis is more subtle with me as well… Also, I dont get the flushing that I get with viagra… The funny thing was that when I first tried it, it did nothing for me even thouigh I took the 20. My Dr advised me to take it at least 4 to 5 times before I gave up on it and it really atarted working around the fifth time. Now i take a 10 mg twict a week and I’m good to go… Sometimes I even drop to a 5 ….
Again, no side effects except an occasional back pain… Havent had the stuffy nose ever since I started taking the 10…
